Insulate your buildings walls
Internal wall insulation is a method used to improve the energy efficiency and thermal comfort of a building by adding an insulating layer to the interior walls. The process typically involves the following steps:
First, the existing wall surfaces are prepared by removing any fixtures, fittings, and surface finishes, such as wallpaper or paint. Any radiator pipes, sockets also need to be extended to accommodate the system.
Next, a layer of insulation material, often in the form of rigid boards or stud wall systems, is attached to the wall using adhesive, mechanical fixings, or a combination of both. This insulation layer helps reduce heat loss and enhances the thermal performance of the wall.
After the insulation is in place, a vapor barrier may be installed to prevent moisture from condensing within the wall structure.
Finally, the wall is finished with new drywall or other suitable materials, and the room is redecorated.
Internal wall insulation is an effective way to upgrade the energy efficiency of a property while maintaining its external appearance. However, it's essential to consider ventilation and potential moisture issues to ensure a successful installation. This isn't something you'll need to worry about as our team take care of everything from start to finish.
